Press Release:

Kat O1O is a keyboardist, vocalist, producer, and composer.  Her musical style is eclectic with influences in hip-hop, electronica, funk, soul, rock, jazz, and classical.  The first single, “On The Cusp” debuts Kat O1O as a vocalist/lyricist as well as her signature style as a producer. It is a sultry song driven by electronic beats and sounds yet smoothed out with live vibraphone and the stereo tremolo from a suitcase Fender Rhodes. From the forthcoming album On The Cusp (O1O Sound, Fall 2015. LP, CD), the title track, “On The Cusp” (Boomnote Music, 2015. EP) includes remixes by Josh One, Pickster One, and Headnodic. “Summer Nights” remix feat. People Under The Stairs

Check out this awesome remix that was unearthed in the old and forgotten hard drives of People Under The Stairs!

We did this remix for fun a long time ago.  So glad Thes found it and wanted to put it out ;)

It gives “Nebulous” a new facelift and is the perfect summer jammy jam to bump with all the windows down!

Armed with years of experience as a Hip-Hop producer, Headnodic brings ALL of his influences to the studio for The Iguana. A full menu of styles from his years of crate digging are evident; jazz fusion, prog rock, Brazilian funk, psychedelic soul, and early electronic sounds. The result is exactly what the composer and producer intended – a musical time traveling exploration into the furthest reaches of rhythm and melody.

Headnodic manages to blend all of these influences and styles into an aesthetically pleasing story that allows the listener space to listen intently or simply lay back and groove. The record was tracked with all live
instruments (without samples) and features guitarist Tom Ayers (Persephone’s Bees) and percussionist Valentino Peeps (of Agua Libre), and fellow Crown City Rockers Kat O1O (keys) and Max MacVeety (drums).
